Our Chicken + Beef Supply

Since JudyJo and I couldn't self-isolate to a Grand Canyon river trip, we did the next best thing.  We rented a tree house cabin at River of Life Farm.  On Thursday we did a short hike and found fern fronds uncurling, spring flowers beginning to bloom, a very tame deer, heard peeper frogs, climbed to a fantastic view, saw a beautiful waterfall; and the best part for Jim, watched the North Fork of the White River roll past bank full from all of the rain.  That night we slept with the door wide open so the sound of the river below would not be muted.  It was almost like sleeping next to a Grand Canyon rapid, but the bed was far better than a foam pad.  If you are getting cabin fever during this time of social distancing we highly recommend the tree house cabins at River of Life Farm as a cure.

We have now returned and many people have been calling, texting, and emailing us about purchasing chicken and beef. Thank you! Here are the details of our supply.
We should have enough chicken and beef for all our customers if nobody goes into hoard mode

There are four pallets of frozen chickens left and the fresh chickens will be ready MID-MAY. We are going to have an on the farm selling day on Wednesday, March 25th.

Items available for purchase will be:

  • Whole Chicken

  • Necks & Backs

  • Chicken Feet (excellent for making broth)

  • Grass Finished Ground Beef from Whetstone Boys Ranch

To minimize co-mingling, we would like to try to space out customer arrival times as follows. Times are organized by the first letter of your last name. These are for Wednesday, March 25th on the farm.

Again, please get just enough chicken and beef to last until mid-May. If everyone takes just enough there should be plenty to go around until our fresh harvest in May.

May you be healthy and full of grace during this beautiful yet difficult spring season. See you soon!
